I'm Mike Parsons. I'm an accountant and data scientist, and I built Koffers because I was frustrated with how hard it was to just see my own finances clearly.
I had accounts everywhere. A checking account here, a savings account there, a 401(k) from an old job, credit cards, student loans. Sound familiar? I knew roughly where things stood, but I never had the full picture in one place. And honestly? That uncertainty was stressful.
So I did what any accountant would do — I built a spreadsheet. Then another. Then I started pulling data from banks manually. It worked, kind of. But it was a mess. Every time I wanted to check my net worth or see where my money was going, it felt like a chore.
I tried other apps. Some were too complicated. Some wanted to sell me financial products. Some shut down after a year. None of them just did the simple thing I wanted: show me all my money in one place, clearly, without trying to upsell me.
So I built Koffers for myself. And then I realized — if I needed this, other people probably do too.
What Makes This Different
Koffers is bootstrapped. No venture capital, no investors demanding growth at all costs. That means I can focus on one thing: being genuinely useful to the people who use it.
I'm not trying to become a bank or sell you investment products. I'm not harvesting your data to sell to advertisers. I'm just building a tool that helps you understand your finances — the same tool I use every day myself.
Fair pricing. Real features. An AI assistant that actually helps you make sense of your money instead of just showing you charts. That's the whole idea.
Built for the Long Haul
I know how frustrating it is when an app you rely on disappears. I've been there. That's why I'm committed to keeping Koffers running for years to come. This isn't a side project or an experiment — it's something I'm building to last.
Every feature I add, every improvement I make, comes from actually using this myself and listening to the people who use it. Your feedback genuinely shapes what gets built next.
Thank You
If you're reading this, thank you for being here. Whether you're just checking out what Koffers is about or you've been using it for a while — I'm grateful.
Building something that helps people feel more confident about their money? That's incredibly rewarding. And there's so much more I want to build.
I love hearing from customers. Seriously. If you have questions, ideas, feedback, or just want to say hello — reach out. I read every message personally.
